Write the colour in your own language in each balloon you want the students to colour; Write the color in English inside the balloons. This works as a model for students to check how to write/ colour the balloons. You can print a large copy of this and place it in your classroom for the next weeks to come, so that students can watch and learn them any time . 3. Counting with bugs. Maple leaf learning. Sing and play along the balloon song. Teach students the movements: up it goes, pull it down, how it bursts. Teach the word balloon”. Students need to do the movements and learn to say/sing aloud colours in English. Repeat the song few times in a row. Hand out the coloring tasks. Students color the balloons and learn colours in English. Sing the Counting with bugs song and learn numbers in English. Sing the song a few times in a row. Teacher places the colour circles on the whiteboard and says: “Let’s count. How many blue, red etc. balloons”? Students watch the video clip “theme 13” ( first time with the teacher). They repeat everything after the programme. Teacher needs to pause the video for translation and correction of pronunciation during first listening.
